Days ago, I went again to Seoul, South Korea. It felt quite emotional, since the blog Discomfort Wings had a restart in 2019 during the journey 5 years ago. With KBK Uglys, let’s discover some new cool tunes from this city!
Back story
Based near Busan, KBK Uglys were formed in July 2018 through acoustic sound busking. They get to know each other "by coincidence as jamming on the streets" and formed the band as a three-member group. After they completed the formation with a drummer, KBK Uglys were founded as its current members. Looking back to the beginning, KBK Uglys started without a specific musical direction. But currently, with their musical roots in Blues and Hard Rock.

In 2018, KBK Uglys released their first self-titled EP and played their first local shows. In 2019, they released with "Idler Blues" [Single] another Blues-rockin record. Followed by the first regular album "ABRACADABRA" in 2021. The latest EP release in November 2023, "A VERY PRIVATE EMISSION" continuous the band's unique sound. KBK Uglys played in the last years intensely live - since 2018, they performed over 160 shows together!
