5 short questions to the band

Q1: For someone who gets new into your music - how would you describe your band in Genre/ background in some words? Could you explain the story behind your band name?

The band is generally categorized as a hard rock band, but we like to think of ourselves as heavy rock n roll. We have elements of metal as well as alternative rock. Like most bands, the name was a struggle. We wanted to work around the word Rogue, and at some point Royal got thrown in the mix. Rogue Royal seemed fitting. In charge and riding the line of chaos.

Q2: How was the process in your latest album - your thoughts, influences?

Different Dimension was about a two year process from its initial writing stage. We wanted to really show off the different dynamics of the band without keeping ourselves in an artistic box. We feel we hit that mark as this record has a little bit of everything. We are heavily influenced from 90s and early 2000s rock with southern/classic rock influence, as well as some elements of modern metal. Anything from Alice In Chains and Alter Bridge to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Aerosmith.

Q3: Can you explain to us a bit about the Hard Rock scene in your local area?

There is a solid hard rock scene in the Minneapolis area. Unkle Daddy and VIA are a couple of our favorite local bands to perform with in our area.

Q4: What are your future plans?

We plan to continue to grow our outreach through social media and our youtube channel. (@rogueroyalofficial) We have some midwest local shows planned throughout the summer and a couple festival appearances. We have aspirations to pick up our touring schedule in the fall.
