Heya guys! Taiwanese quartet TRASH surprised last friday with a second record in 2021! [BE LIKE YOU, Release: 18/06/2021]. Unusual different as the latest record "家 Home" from last month, we can discover a complete animated music video. What can be seen, as usual is again the directly outspoken topics here! Let's have a look!
Since 2009, TRASH are based in Taipei under "Marz23" Lin Zhi-Rong (Vocal/ Guitar), Euan Lin (Lead Guitar), "vul" Kuei Gun (Drums) and Teng Wen Po (Bass).
The band released in the last decade 3 studio albums and are known for the Mixture sound of different old school Rock and Grunge vibes, related to melodic guitar riffs and visuals. As an active artist for over 10 years now, they released an amount of MV's, joined festivals and Award events, including Tours in Asia!

Alright. First things first - thank you for English subtitles again! We can discover here a perfect snapped mentality in our Social Media generation. TRASH captured nerves of our Social "Fake" life, question ourselves ironical about the event and to-be-seen industry.
Going through the M/V storyline, it holds yourself a kind of mirror to ourselves. Just being the role of a daily worker. Just imagine, that everything could be better, successful, easier! In between of a rock bottom life and extra hours from the main role’s office job, the all-problem-resolving "magic cure" appeared. Our protagonist grabs it to evolve being well-known, surrounded by material goods and money in society.
Can´t lose something I never owned,
I wish I knew nothing
But soon, our main character starts to wakes up and recognize this shallow world. At the end, this person here lost himself in fame, money and somewhere else. Just
to become someone for others. TRASH visualizes here sarcastic clear this key point. In all this more and more image-affected society, you must stay true to yourself.
This record here shows me again, why I still listen to them over years! Hitting the zeitgeist of society, compared with cool sounds! Let's see what comes next!
